  4. You can cook chicken or shrimp separate then. Add on top . So you don't get boring

  13. I use a "skinny soup" recipe, but yours looks tastier and "meatier," lol. I'll sure try it.

    My long-term goal over time (and we're talking a year's time, check your library for a book called "Calorie Queens," about a mother and daughter who each lost over 100 pounds in a year), yep, a year, is to get down to 145 pounds from 205. What these ladies say is to pick an "ideal" weight you'd really like to be, maybe your best weight ever in the past, and start eating the number of calories daily it takes to maintain that weight (a weight of 145 would be 1700 calories a day). You just start sticking to that number of calories daily and don't go over that from now on. When you have a bad day, you just get back to it the next day. I've tried many times sticking to 1200 calories a day, and that just does NOT work very long for me. Sooner or later, I want some pizza or pasta. The 1700 calories a day is very doable and long story short, I did go from 205 to 190 in a few weeks. You keep a diary of all you eat faithfully. You make smart choices and train yourself to substitute lower calorie products and eat better foods. I'm back to walking like I used to do daily and am faithful to that. I know I love cooking and eating my food, lol, and I'm 62 and don't truly expect to ever look like a model.

  16. I 've already tried this diet of cabbage soup and it's true, we lose weight, but the problem the lost pounds come back very quickly after. Just last thing, in the real diet of cabbage soup, you should avoid any fat such as oil, butter, broth etc. but also salt !

  17. I didn't like Olive oil either until I started c using Extra Virgin. I think I might swap out the green beans and use kale instead. I like the recipe

  19. Fresh veggies always better than canned, love your combo of veggies. I use pink Himalayan salt, much better for you! I bet this soup is delish!!!

    And, these are novices. They don't know what are starchy veggies and whats not. It's just like ppl think corn isn't a starchy veggie, or that it's even a veggie because it's not, it's a starch. That's the purpose of a diet. It's to get you away from things you're used to eating. So, if you go against the grain, you've changed the original recipe which the ingredients they put together is to help you lose the max amt of weight. Also, just like tomatoes are a vegetable because it's not, it's a fruit. I wish u good luck in your journey I really do. Be blessed. P.S. Complete Seasoning already has salt in it as well.   25. Still too much sodium! You probably would have reached your goal with less salt. Remember, salt retains water.
