HEALTHY BREAKFAST IDEAS (Food prep the night before to save time the next morning)



Are you pushed for time in the mornings? Why not food prep breakfast before you go to sleep to save time the next day?

I loooove going to bed knowing that I have a yummy breakfast waiting for me the next day! I hope you enjoy five make ahead breakfast ideas!

Creamy apple refrigerated oats (1 big serving)

– 1/2 c oats (50 grams)
– Half a grated apple
– Teaspoon cinnamon
– 2 tablespoons of cottage cheese
– Add honey if you like

Green Cake Batter Smoothie (1 big serving)

– 60g chopped kale leaves
– Small frozen banana (90 grams)
– Ripe pear
– Half a teaspoon of cinnamon
– Handful of oats (1/4 cup)
– 1 cup of either milk or water – 250 ml (I used half milk and half water)
– Optional sprinkle of chia seeds

Crispy Crunchy Quinoa Granola (makes about 10 servings)

– 3 cups (180 grams) Quinoa Flakes
– Half a cup of coconut oil melted
– ¼ cup of raw agave nectar (or any other sweetener you may prefer)
– 2 tablespoon of vanilla essence
– 2 tablespoons of dried shredded coconut
– 1 cup of crushed walnuts (105g) and ½ cup 35g of flaked almonds)
– 1 cup of dried cranberries (130g).
– Himalayan pink sea salt (Optional)

Salmon, Rocket and Chilli Omelette Cupcakes (makes 6)

– 4 eggs
– 30ml lite milk
– 20g grated parmesan cheese
– 1 tablespoon mince chilli
– Large handful of chopped rocket leaves
– 60g chopped smoked salmon
– Salt and pepper

Pear and Almond Bircher Muesli (Serves 2)

1 cup oats (100g)
Large pinch of cinnamon
Grated Pear
½ cup freshly squeezed orange juice (125ml)
½ cup of plain yoghurt (120g)
2 tablespoons of Flaked Almonds

But with a toddler, 2 jobs and hubby it's not easy to find time for everything… Did some meat and veggie prep yesterday, how long would the cooked meat last in the fridge please? Normally I'd say 3 days but I see you do 7 days worth in some videos?
