Text recipes :-
1. Ragi Cucumber soup recipe :- ( for dinner)
Ingredients:- 2 cucumber, some lemon grass, 1-2 cloves of garlic, 1 Cup Cooked Ragi, 2 star anise, 1 tsp mint powder, 1/2 tsp black pepper powder, salt to taste, water as required, 20-30g paneer, some fresh Corns, 1 tsp olive oil.
(Cooking ragi first :- to cook ragi, mix 1/2 cup Ragi flour into some lukewarm water to a semi thin paste. Now heat 2-2.5 cups of water In a pan, once the water start to heat add flour and whisk constantly to avoid lumps. Once it start to boil reduce heat and cook on low heat for 15 min. Stir continuously to avoid flour sticking at the bottom. This will give you 3 cups of cooked ragi which we will use in three of our recipes today)
How to make Ragi cucumber soup for weight loss :-
Wash, peel and Chop cucumber ( remove seeds). In a pan heat olive oil add lemon grass and star anise. Once they turn light brown add chopped garlic. Once garlic is brown add chopped cucumber to the pan and stir, add some water cover the pan and cook for few minutes. Once Cucumbers are slightly soft add cooked ragi add water, salt, black pepper and mint powder. Bring to a boil, than cover and cook for few more minutes. Let the mixture cool than blend in a blender or using hand blender. Switch on the flames and add paneer and Corns cook for few minutes and serve warm for dinner.
2, Ragi rajma rice recipe :- ( for lunch)
Ingredients:- 1 Cup Cooked Ragi, 1/2 Cup Cooked rajma, 2 Tbsp rice, 1 tsp olive oil, 1 tsp Cumin seeds, 1 onion, 1 Tomato, salt to taste, turmeric powder, spice mix, coriander powder, chilli powder, water as required
How to make Ragi rice for weight loss :-
Wash and soak rice for half an hour. In a pan heat oil add cumin seeds once the seeds starts to crackle add onions …once onions are slightly brown add tomato…once tomatoes are soften add rice and spices mix properly add cooked ragi and 1 cup water mix well. Cover and cook until the water is absorbed nicely …once done add cooked rajma, cover and cook for few more minutes. Serve warm.
3. Ragi soymilk shake :- (post Workout)
Ingredients:-1 Cup soy milk, 1 Cup Cooked Ragi, 3-4 soaked dates, 1 Tbsp desiccated coconut, 1 Tbsp chia seeds, 1.5/tsp peanut butter, 1 tsp coffee powder
How to make Ragi milk shake for weight loss :- add everything to a blender and blend for few minuets. Your healthy high protein post workout shake is ready to serve.
4. Ragi muffins recipe :-
Ingredients:- 1 Cup Ragi flour, 2 banana, 3/4 cup Oats flour, 1 tsp cocoa powder, 1 tsp coffee powder, 1 cup warm milk, some raisins, oil for greasing, some mixed nuts, 1 tsp chia seeds, 2 tsp brown sugar, baking powder 1/2 tsp
( we will use half batter for this recipe and rest for pancakes)
How to make Ragi muffins for weigh loss :-
In a bowl mash banana with the help of a fork. Now add oats and ragi flour to the bowl and mix add warm milk gradually. And make a batter. Add cocoa, coffee powder and brown sugar. Mix everything to make a lump free batter.
Divide the batter into two bowl
In a bowl add chia seeds, Raisins, nuts and mix well , add 1/2 tsp baking powder, transfer the batter into muffin moulds and sprinkle some sesame seeds, rolled oats, raisins on top …bake the muffins in a preheated oven at 180c for 20-22 minuets. Once baked let cool and demould. Enjoy with warm glass of milk.
5. Ragi pancakes recipe :-
Ingredients:-batter used in above recipe, peanut butter, some sesame seeds, oil to grease.
How to make Ragi pancakes for weight loss :-
Heat a tava or pan. Spread the batter on tava in circular motion, sprinkle some sesame seeds on top, cover and cook on low heat once cooked from once side flip and cook from other side.
